Microsoft Bing Speech Synthesis (BingSS) Plugin 1.0.0 to the UniMRCP Server (UMS) has been released.

The plugin is based on the following components:

  • UniMRCP Server 1.5.0
  • Microsoft Bing Text to Speech API
  • Libevent 2.1.8

The binaries are currently available for the following Linux distributions:

  • Red Hat / CentOS 7
  • Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

The plugin allows IVR platforms to utilize the Microsoft Bing Text to Speech API via MRCP. The connection to the globally accessible service is maintained via RESTful API, which ensures secure, reliable transmission of data over the Internet.

The Bing Text to Speech API provides a large variety of voices to choose from, having all the major languages supported.

For installation, configuration and usage instructions, consult the guides available on a new BingSS plugin page.
